LFH eNews is resurrected - again! 16 July 2021
Although we didn't really expect to be returning to LFH eNews, we hope families appreciate the opportunities this communication tool provides to update you all.
Thank you to all our families for your patience as our staff rapidly pivotted from 'normal school' to remote learning this morning. We have now received an updated DET Operations Guide and remain committed to preserving our 'High Performing COVIDSafe School' status during another concerning community health crisis.
This afternoon, our classroom teachers emailed invitations for Group 1 and 2 Webex Essential and Plus sessions next week. We are keen to remain connected with our students and parents during Lockdown 5.0 and, as usual, will include both academic and wellbeing supports in these Learning from Home classes. Our new teachers will be assisted by other staff, and probably their students, as they learn these Webex skills.
Teachers will spend time on Monday and Tuesday planning additional LFH days, just in case the lockdown is extended. Should that occur, families can expect to see some additional online opportunities resume. Parents are certainly not expected to be teachers and this consideration is an important aspect of planning LFH tasks.
Families new to the school might like to explore what has now become an LFH library on our website! Important links include:
As well as the 2021 LFH eNews pages, there is also a 2020 LFH eNews Archive, containing a wealth of information circulated to parents last year.
We were so impressed with students' Webex skills last term and know how resilient your children are. Thanks to our parents and staff for all your support and understanding as we navigate the next step of this pandemic journey.
Have a safe and relaxing weekend.
Kim
