Our stunning Art Room and deck overlook Blacks Walk and provide a calm, inspiring environment for students to express their ideas, observations and imagination in meaningful ways. Promoting attitudes of respect for diversity and curiosity, students are supported to respond to artworks and practise new skills in their art making.

Throughout the year, students create artworks using the techniques that include multimedia (iPads and photocopying), painting, printmaking, construction, collage, hand built ceramics and drawing. Exploration of the art elements and principles builds on students' curiosity and is, where possible, connected to the classroom.

We encourage students to contribute to Art competitions and display their work for the school community, if only for a short while, before they are taken home for families to enjoy. Some individual and cohort art is also displayed permanently in several areas within the school.
