Learning Intention:
We are learning to use and write body and cup percussion patterns

Once you have mastered the rhythmic pattern and are able to perform it in time with music, write your own 16 beat cup and body percussion pattern.
You can use any rhythms you like, using different body and cup percussion sounds.

We are learning to select and apply visual conventions, materials, techniques, technologies and processes specific to different art forms when making artworks
Year 6:
Please complete and submit your Graduation Animation before moving on to other art activities.
Create a Flip Book based on an artwork of your choice.

We are learning about the criteria the CBCA uses to shortlist books
We are learning about the importance of illustrations to tell a story
Book Week this year will be celebrated in term 4 from the 17-23 October.
The CBCA theme this year is ‘Curious Creatures, Wild Minds.’

Our Book Week dress up day will be held on Thursday 22 October.
Please come to your Webex sessions dressed as your favourite book character.
This Children’s Book Council of Australia event highlights the importance of reading, and draws on the joy of stories and the creativity of Australian books.
The CBCA judges have shortlisted six books in different categories.
The categories we focus on at LPS are Early Childhood, Picture Book, Younger Readers and The Eve Pownall Award.
One of the categories Year 5 and 6 will be focusing on leading up to Book Week is Picture Book of the Year.

Three of the shortlisted books in the picture book category are on Story Box library.
