Music
Learning Intention:
We are learning to use and write body and cup percussion patterns
Log into ClickView and click here for instructions on how to do the rhythmic pattern below.

Once you have mastered the rhythmic pattern and are able to perform it in time with music, write your own 8 beat cup and body percussion pattern.
You can use any rhythms you like, using different body and cup percussion sounds.

Library
Learning Intentions:
We are learning about the criteria the CBCA uses to shortlist books
We are learning about the importance of illustration to tell a story
Book Week this year will be celebrated in term 4 from the 17-23 October.
The CBCA theme this year is ‘Curious Creatures, Wild Minds.’

Our Book Week dress up day will be held on Thursday 22 October.

This Children’s Book Council of Australia event highlights the importance of reading, and draws on the joy of stories and the creativity of Australian books.
The CBCA judges have shortlisted six books in different categories.

One of the categories Year 3 and 4 will be focusing on leading up to Book Week is Picture Book of the Year.
