LPS 2023 Starting Prep Information

STARTING AT OUR SCHOOL:

Information on Preps starting at Laburnum Primary School in 2023 is listed below:

Tuesday 31 January or Thursday 2 February

Prep students attend school either Tuesday or Thursday 9:30 am – 12:30 pm. From 1:30 pm onwards on these days, a parent-teacher meeting will be scheduled with the class teacher.

Parents will receive notification about which day your child starts school and a parent-teacher meeting time.

Friday 3 February

Students attend from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Wednesdays in February

Prep students will not attend Wednesdays during February. On these Wednesdays, teachers schedule Entry Assessments, which are undertaken by every Victorian government school, and parent meetings.

PARENT PAYMENTS:

Laburnum Primary School advises parents/carers of our parent payment arrangements for 2023.

Please find the fee schedule for Prep 2023 students by clicking here.

Writable pdf's, and translatable information, are available online for our families by accessing that link. An overview of the DET Parent Payments Policy is also included.

Please complete the Parent Payment form and return it to the school by email by 2 December 2022, so the school can order items needed for your child’s learning next year.

How do I collect my child's Stationery Starter Pack?

The Stationery Starter Pack collection will be held on Monday 11 December 2023. For parents who have purchased packs, we will have two collection times:

9.30am – 11.00am
2.30pm – 3.30pm

The packs will need to be collected from our Performing Art Centre (PAC). Please make your way to the small gate near the staff carpark on Janet Street, where street parking is available.

Please refer to the map (below) which shows you where the collection will take place (marked on map with a ).

Thank you for your 2023 Parent Payments, if you need to make a payment before the day please pay by Direct Deposit, BPay or credit card over the phone. Please include your child's name in the reference and email a copy of the Parent Payment form to the office laburnum.ps@education.vic.gov.au

How do I collect my child's uniform orders with Spartan School World?

For parents who have placed uniform orders with Spartan School World, these orders can be collected on

Monday 11 December 2022. TBC

We have one collection time for uniform orders to be picked up:

9.30am – 11.00am

Uniform orders will need to be collected from the rear deck of the Performing Art Centre (PAC). Please see the map above for location.

ALL DONATIONS VERY WELCOME
We accept donations of pre-loved uniforms at the front office or during opening hours in the shop. Please ensure donations are washed, clean and in good condition. Only school branded clothing (i.e. no Target, Kmart, Big W, etc brands).
