Music

The Music program at Laburnum aims to creat an environment in which the innate feel children have for Music is developed so that they have this gift for their lifetimes.

The main focus with the children is to create:
- a fun learning environment where the activities are always different and interesting.
- a sound skills base on which we can build a musical knowledge and understanding.
- a love of music which will be a life-long pleasure.

Each class has a fortnightly session which is follwed up, where possible by the classroom teachers within their own grades.

The formal music program is supported by:
-recorder groups
-school choirs
-instrumental lessons
-concert band and training band
